Sustainability Roadmap
Phase 1: Foundation of Sustainable Gold Micromining
- Pre-emptive Reforestation Efforts: Before any mining begins, we plant five trees for every one tree felled. This ensures we give back to nature before we take from it, creating a net positive environmental impact. We’ll focus on planting native trees that contribute to the ecosystem and help mitigate environmental risks.
- Mining Begins: At the same time as the pre-reforestation efforts, we initiate sustainable, chemical-free gold mining using wooden sluice rafts. This mining process is powered by natural resources and efficient methods such as hand panning, sluices, and centrifuges. We maintain minimal environmental disruption and operate on a small scale to reduce our footprint.
Phase 2: Expanding Sustainability (Year 2 to 3)
- Sustainable Planning & Monitoring: Real-time monitoring using drones, AI, and satellite imaging helps assess the environmental health of the area, track riverbed conditions, and ensure mining operations are in line with sustainability goals. We work on reducing the intensity of mining while improving the river’s ecological balance.
- Ecosystem Restoration: We increase reforestation efforts, integrating AI and drone-assisted planning to ensure that reforestation is targeted and optimized for maximum impact.
- Logistics Efficiency: Sustainable logistics solutions are implemented, with the use of green tech for transport and resource delivery and better routing, minimizing the carbon footprint and improving efficiency in operations.
Phase 3: Scaling Green Tech & Decentralized Solutions (Year 4 )
- Green Logistics Network: Full integration of green logistics, including drones for transporting materials and gold, further decentralizing operations and reducing environmental impact.
- Full Ecosystem Restoration: We aim to fully restore mined areas and create a thriving ecosystem supported by the community-driven growth model.
- Global Impact: KGFX becomes a global leader in decentralized, sustainable mining, setting new standards for environmental restoration and community-driven prosperity.
Phase 4: Gold for All - A people powered jewellery brand (Year 4)
Kali Gold Retail Luxury: As the Kali Gold brand increases in global popularity and recognition, we will open up franchise and distribution opportunities around the world, adding further value to our products and stakeholders.
